No, and that's deliberate. Simple Chat is a script tag — you paste it into your theme.liquid (or any custom HTML block) and the widget loads on every store page. The pros: no app approval delay, no extra Shopify permissions to grant, no Plus-tier upcharges, and you can install it on a development theme to test before pushing live. The con: we don't have native access to your Shopify objects (orders, customers, products) the way an App Store app would. We work from the content you upload — your policies, FAQs, sizing guides — and capture leads to your dashboard.

Will it integrate with my Shopify orders, customers, or products?

Honestly, no. We don't connect to Shopify's API and don't see your live product catalog, order history, or customer database. The chatbot answers from the knowledge base you upload (PDFs, text, DOCX). If a shopper asks "where's my order?" the chatbot can be configured to say "let me get someone to look that up — what's your email and order number?" and capture the request for your team. How do I install it on my Shopify theme?

Three steps. (1) Sign up for Simple Chat and create your chatbot — upload your shipping/returns/sizing/about pages as PDF or paste them in. (2) Copy the embed snippet from your dashboard. (3) In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes > Edit code, open theme.liquid, paste the snippet just before the closing </body> tag, save. Live on your store immediately. We have a step-by-step setup guide in the dashboard if you'd rather follow screenshots. If you prefer not to touch theme code, you can also place the script in any custom HTML block on a single page — useful if you want to test the chat on one product page or landing page first before rolling it out store-wide.

What about my international Shopify Markets store?

This is one of our better fits. Multilingual is built in: a shopper from Germany writes in German, the chatbot replies in German, no per-market widget setup needed. The same script tag serves every Market — you don't maintain a separate config per region. If your store uses Shopify's automatic translation for product pages, the chatbot complements that by handling the questions translation tools can't answer (sizing nuances, shipping timelines per region, return windows). For stores with very different policies per market, you can run separate chatbots — one per Market URL — and configure each with the right knowledge base and language defaults. How do leads get into my email platform?

Today: export leads as CSV from your dashboard, then import into your email platform (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend, Shopify Email, etc.). It's a manual step — one click in our dashboard, then your platform's standard CSV import. Direct webhook export to your email tool is on the roadmap but not shipped yet. For most stores doing weekly or bi-weekly campaign sends, CSV export is fine; for high-frequency triggered flows, weigh whether the manual step fits your workflow.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your dashboard, no obligations of any kind. Your chatbot keeps working until the end of your billing period. You can export your leads and conversation history anytime from the dashboard while your account exists. If you're seasonal — a holiday-heavy store, for example — you can downgrade to a smaller plan in slow months and upgrade again when traffic picks up.
